The Search for Paradise is Over

We dream of paradise: it’s what we have always imagined life should be like. A place where there is only peace and happiness. It is conceptually a counter-image of the supposed miseries of all the hustle and bustle of the city. Within Camotes Islands is Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort – an intimate vacation place perfect for those looking for an escape from all the worries in life.

Paradise Beach Resort

Celebrating 6 years of friendship, we have decided to go somewhere far from the city. A place just right to bond and enjoy. With our friend’s recommendation, we decided to try at Mangodlong Paradise Beach Resort. Travelling took us about 4 hours to reach our destination i.e. land trip from Cebu’s North Bus Terminal to Danao City (1.5 hrs), then via shipping line we took a trip to Consuelo, Camotes Island (2 hrs) and from there, the resort’s free shuttle fetched and took us to Paradise Beach Resort (30 mins). So going there was not that difficult.

The minute we arrived at the resort, we were welcomed by the beautiful beachfront panorama. Big rocks, crystal clear blue sea, fine white sands and friendly wind breeze – such a fascinating bird's-eye view. It really felt like we were in seventh heaven – so serene!  Paradise Beach Resort is really the perfect name for the place.

Beachfront - Look how crystal clear the sea was!

For a reasonable price, we were able to reserve the resort’s biggest cabana with 2 two rooms which is good for 6 people. Their rooms are polished and classy – one that I would really recommend for those who are picky when it comes to accommodations. Within the resort, they have a restaurant named Bamboo Café. They have good Filipino-Chinese foods however its prices are above average of what I normally spend for a meal. But then again, their foods are worthy to try. Further, at the center of the resort is a wide infinity pool. How it was positioned was very well-thought. If you are standing at right angles, it will really give you an illusion that the pool is connected to the beach. If there is one word to describe it, then it should be “spectacular!”

"Spectacular!"

The biggest attraction for me aside from the infinity pool was the Resort’s Sunset Bar. I am sunset guy so anything about cool dusk excites me. The bar is situated at the beach side of the resort. They offer different kinds of drinks & beverages you can enjoy while getting the pleasure of the sunset view. It was also a perfect place for me and my friends to talk and bond in celebration of our 6th anniversary.

Perfect sunset

We spent two days and one night at the resort but we really wanted to stay longer. If only time was not a concern, we could have stayed for few more days. But since we have responsibilities to attend like work, we have no choice but to leave. But it's okay because I am sure that we will visit the resort sometime in the future again.
