The Powerhouse Jamaican singer Tessane Chin
Tessane has been the biggest threat in this competition since blind
auditions. Amongst the remaining finalists, she is the only ‘female’ contestant left who is a four chair
turn. Week by week she has been
consistent with her astounding performances and not to mention her striking
fashion style is making her more compelling to watch. Also, her musical career
experience in Kingston, Jamaica is definitely her advantage over the other remaining artists. Her music genres are
reggae, R&B, pop and rock soul.
Somehow, her Jamaican roots might also be her downfall since The Voice
US are solely basing on American public votes but in fairness to her, she was
never in the bottom two so far.
And with the three remaining artists from Team Adam, Tessane is without a doubt
the front runner.
“Tessane Chin, you can easily win this competition this year,” Adam
said during the blind audition.
Her near perfect rendition of
‘Unconditionally’ by Katy Perry last week was for sure her best
performance so far. Even
without the coaches standing ovation, they knew that Tessane is ready to win
The Voice.
The Dark Horse of the competition Cole Vosbury
Cole has started the competition
below the radar but he has proven time after time that he is the
one to be watched out for. The 22 year old from Shreveport, Louisiana hopes
that he could live up the expectation of his family who were professional
musicians. During the blind auditions, only Ceelo recognized his audacity when
it comes to choice of music. On the knockouts week, he was defeated against
Johnny Grey but then got stolen by Blake. Despite of it, he pushes himself to
prove each week that he deserves to be in the competition.
His artistry
and musicality brought him in the final five. Since the live shows, he was
never in the bottom two which proves he has a very strong fan base. Also having
Blake Shelton as his coach, the country music community are full force support
for him.
“You can
absolutely win this whole thing,” Blake pointed out to Cole during the
playoffs.
The Youngest Dynamic Vocalist Jacquie
Lee
Jacquie is a
junior high school aged 16 from Colts Neck, New Jersey. She is not from a
musical family but she is charismatic and gifted with a unique and powerful
pitch. Her barely credible and emotional performances each live shows made her
a vicious competitor. Plus her youthfulness put her into an advantage of
winning this season.
She is the
only artist left from Team Xtina after the shocking elimination of Matthew
Schuler last week. But Jacquie is hungry for The Voice title and she has indeed
shown a tremendous improvement since day one of the competition. Christina’s
supporters are hoping that Jacquie would be her first artist to win The Voice
Season 5.
The Solid Diverse Musician
James Wolpert
The
self-proclaimed geek James never failed to impress the coaches and audiences
week after week. He has been one of the early favourites in the competition and
in fact he is the only ‘male’ artist left who is a four chair turn. He executes
performances with incredible vocal range and can really hit crazy notes. He
stayed grounded and true to the meaning of each live song he carried out every
week. His coach Adam Levine always applauded his boldness as a musician.
He has been
in the bottom two on last week’s elimination but he promised to bounce back in
full force to stay in the competition up to the finale. Christina once commented
on him that being simplified and breaking down a song could run the risk of
being boring but she knew that James has the ability to draw people in a safe
haven that is heart warming to watch. Holding on to that remark, James will
surely deliver an astonishing performance next week.
The Committed and Multi-Talented Artist
Will Champlin
Will
is the only artist who got stolen twice during the early stage of the
competition but when the live shows started, he has been one of the top
finalists called safe first every elimination week. He got a soulful and romantic
voice that lure audiences time and again. He is an incredible keyboard player,
amazing guitarist and a true artist at heart.
His 'The
Voice' adventure has been like a rolling yo-yo as his couch Adam Levine described. But
seriously this guy deserves to be in the competition. With his talent and
high-registered note, sky is the limit for Will.
Whoever will America vote to win The Voice, they will never go wrong. The top 5 five finalists have proven their worth each week. For sure with their amazing talents, they will be landing a bright future in the music industry which makes them winners already.
